There are also a great number of natural home remedies that you can follow to promote and stimulate hair growth. While the effectiveness of these remedies may vary, there is no doubt that a good hair care routine will improve the quality of your hair and reduce hair loss. Healthy hair has a natural shine and will also have a lot more volume.

If you really prefer going for the more natural methods of hair loss remedies, make it a point that you get a regular head massage. You may do it 30 minutes each day so that your scalp will get the blood flow or circulation that it needs and in effect, the hair follicles will be activated to produce more growth hormone known to be responsible for the growth of your hair. Although it is not guaranteed to work immediately, a lot of women have already attested to the power of head massage to stimulate hair growth. You can buy yourself an electric massage or perhaps go to your favorite massage parlor for such therapeutic services. The nicotinic acid form of vitamin B3, which is applied to the scalp, may help to improve blood circulation to the scalp (and may help stop the loss of hair) - you must have live hair follicles present. The suggested dose has been about 35 mg. of nicotinic acid daily.

Gottlieb recommends taking 50 to 100mg stinging nettle and 60 to 500mg pygeum standardized to contain 13 percent beta sterols each day. Start with the lower dosage and slowly work up to the higher dosage for the best results. No adverse side effects have been reported from taking these herbs together, but it's always best to start small and see how your body reacts to any new substance before increasing your dosage.

Make sure that you deep condition your hair at least once a month. You can make your own natural hair conditioner using egg yolk, milk and avocado pulp. Egg yolk and milk contain proteins and vitamins that are essential for healthy hair while avocados are extremely high in healthy fats. After you apply the mixture to your hair use a shower cap to contain your body heat. This will enlarge the pores within your hair follicles and allow for better absorption. This deep conditioner will fortify your hair and prevent or minimize hair fall. In addition to this apply coconut milk to your hair at least once a week and leave over night. This will nourish your hair and strengthen it.

You may have already known that certain supplements like those rich in Vitamins A, C, E and the B vitamins (Inositol, Biotin, etc.) can help promote safe and effective hair growth. This really makes sense if you have vitamin deficiency because that can contribute to the loss of your beloved curls as well.

On top of the herbs that you may consider to discuss your hair thinning dilemma, there are also different kinds of oil that you may apply to your scalp to make your mane thicker and fuller. You may actually choose among olive oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, mira oil and other essential oils known to provide volume to thinning hair.
